Apply For A Grant

We support nonprofits in becoming well-run, well-staffed, well-governed organizations that take the time to evaluate their work and plan for their future. Rather than funding specific programs, our grants address such areas as strategic planning, organizational structure and financial assessment. Organizations able to demonstrate high performance in these areas may be eligible for General Operating Support.

Our special initiatives grants provide support for nonprofits meeting specific criteria.

How Do I Start?

The first step for any nonprofit interested in a grant from The Philadelphia Foundation is to take our Eligibility Wizard.

This five-minute quiz will give you specific information on which of our grants your nonprofit might qualify for and lead you to the applications for each of those grants.

Completing the wizard is an essential first step in seeking nonprofit funding.
